  • Q: Sing Up Promise

    A: Sing Up was started because we believe every child and young person has a right to daily access to good quality singing - we continue to hold this as our core value. We also believe in singing as a powerful social and educational tool. We have a commitment to our users and Members to meet their educational and musical needs, stay fresh and continue to support singing and learning by providing access to the highest quality resources.

  • Q: Sing Up and the National Music Plan

    A: The National Plan for Music Education acknowledged that: Sing Up has shown what can be done to raise the status of singing and increase opportunities for school children throughout the country to enjoy singing as part of their everyday lives. In the spirit of partnership working, hubs may wish to draw on expertise from organisations such as Sing Up… to develop and deliver their singing strategies. 

    The Plan underlines the importance of access to music for all children. Sing Up provides the resources and means for schools to not only give all children access to music and singing but also supports the development of  teachers’ skills, helping them to become confident and able to lead quality singing in schools, through our Quality Framework, resources and training.

  • Q: Free Sing Up Taster

    A: Anyone can sign up as a Sing Up Friend free of charge, which will give you a taster of what the Sing Up site has to offer:

    • Delve into our world-famous Song Bank featuring over 800 songs and their accompanying resources. You will have access to 10 songs from our Song Bank and can listen to previews of all our songs.
    • Explore our Teaching Tools and Knowledge Hub sections where you'll find curriculum-linked Sing Up resources. 
    • Watch some of our videos and sneak a peek at our current Magazine.

    To sign up, visit our Homepage and click on the 'Become a Friend' button.

  • Q: Payment for Memberships

    A: When you click through to order your Membership, you may select to either receive an invoice (Schools/ Organisations only), or for immediate access pay by debit/credit card or PayPal. For all invoice payments you will be provided with a space to input your own purchase order number if you need to link your order with your own records, but this is optional.

    Our entire purchase process is online and all order confirmations, invoices as well as payment confirmations will be sent to you via email.

    If you are unable to make an immediate payment and opt to be invoiced instead, you can pay for your order any time within 14 days via…

    • BACS transfer - Please use the following bank account details to make your payment: Lloyds TSB plc | Account No: 28333860 | Sort Code: 30-93-43 | BACS reference: Please quote the letters SU and the invoice number listed on your invoice.
    • Credit/Debit card - Please contact Sing Up credit control on +44 191 404 6805 to make your payment.
    • Cheque - Please make it payable to Sing Up and on the back of the cheque quote the invoice number listed on your invoice. All cheques should be sent to the address listed on your invoice: Office 122, The Axis Building, Maingate, Kingsway North, Team Valley, Gateshead, NE11 0NQ.

    If you think you have paid but still don't have access to your Membership or if you haven't received your invoice, please get in touch with our friendly Support Team.

  • Q: Signing up/ordering Membership

    A: It's easy to sign up to Sing Up. Visit our Membership page to find all the information you need on becoming a Member.

    To order School/Organisation Membership,

    • On the Membership page click on the ‘Buy now’ button within the School/Organisation box.
    • Choose (a) ‘I am a new user to Sing Up’ and fill in the form to register a new account with Sing Up, or choose (b) ‘I am an existing Sing Up user’ to login to an already registered account.
    • Follow the process to find and select your organisation.
    • Within the shopping cart choose any top-ups you may want to add such as additional copies of our termly Magazine* and proceed to the checkout. Here you will be able to choose if you would like to receive an invoice, or pay via debit/credit card or PayPal.

    Once you've submitted your order you can start exploring Sing Up right away. The welcome screen will give you great ideas on getting started and as soon as you have paid, you'll have full access to our great resources. Look out for an email confirming your order.

    Are you the Bursar? – Have a look if your or your school’s finance/office email address is already registered with Sing Up by logging in. If you don’t have a Sing Up account yet, why not register yourself and you can make sure that all communication emails will be sent to you.

    Would like to simply join your school’s existing Membership? – On the Membership page you can submit your organisation’s postcode within the ‘Belong to a Member School?’ box and follow the process to join your organisation.

    To order Individual Membership,

    • On the Membership page click on the ‘Buy now’ button within the Individual box.
    • Choose (a) ‘I am a new user to Sing Up’ and fill in the form to register a new account with Sing Up, or choose (b) ‘I am an existing Sing Up user’ to login to an already registered account.
    • Follow the process to set up your Individual account record.
    • Within the shopping cart choose any top-ups you may want to add such as the termly Sing Up Magazine* and proceed to the checkout. Here you will be able to choose if you would like to pay via debit/credit card or PayPal.

    Once you've submitted your order you can start exploring Sing Up right away. The welcome screen will give you great ideas on getting started and you will receive an email confirming your purchase.

    To register as a Friend,

    • On the Homepage click on the 'Sign me up!' button
    • Fill in the fields on the form and submit. Don't forget to tick or untick the boxes based on your contact preferences.

    You can start exploring Sing Up right away. The welcome screen will give you great ideas on getting started and you will receive an email confirming your registration.

  • Q: Membership Renewal

    A: The standard Sing Up Membership period is normally 12 months and needs to be renewed annually. Any users connected to your Membership can always check the expiry date in the My Sing Up area. Unless you're on a recurring payment plan such as Direct Debit your Membership will not be extended automatically, but anyone connected to your Membership can choose to renew as early as 3 months before the Membership is due to expire.

    Renewing early means that we add 12 months to your current expiry date and you will have no break in your access to your Sing Up Membership. We will also inform the Sing Up Admin via letter and/or email well in time so you can make sure you have continual access to your Sing Up Membership benefits.

    To renew simply…

    • Log in to your account and click on the notification* on the top right of the page just underneath the My Sing Up button. This will lead you to the most recent Membership offers.
    • Click on the ‘Renew your Membership Today’ button and within the shopping cart choose any top-ups such as extra credits or the Magazine** if you like.
    • Proceed to the checkout, where you will be able to choose your preferred payment option.

    * The renewal notification will only be displayed if your Membership is due to expire within 3 months.

  • Q: Access to Membership

    A: If you paid for your Membership during the ordering process, you will have access to all your Membership benefits straight away. If you've chosen to be invoiced, we will activate your Membership as soon as we receive your payment.

    An email notification confirming your order and how to get started will be sent to the individual placing the order.

    A: Sing Up is now available around the world. This means you are able to enjoy the full benefits of our International Membership package.
