In order to utilise certain functionality of the website, including free and Membership services, you must complete a registration process. As a registered user of Sing Up, you agree to (a) provide true, accurate, current, and complete information about yourself and your organisation as prompted by the registration form(s) ("Registration Data"), and (b) maintain and promptly update the Registration Data to keep it true, accurate, current, and complete. Upon completing the registration process, you shall receive confirmation of your username and password, both of which are unique to you and are for your sole use. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the password and username, and you are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your password or username. You agree to (a) immediately notify Sing Up of any unauthorised use of your password or username or any other breach of security; (b) exit from your account at the end of each session using the 'log out' button; and (c) defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Sing Up from any loss or damage arising from unauthorised use of your password or username.
While some products (e.g. School/Organisation Membership) allow for multiple user access (as opposed to Individual Membership which is restricted to a single user), each user still needs to have their own unique user name and password with which to log into their account. Please refer to the terms of access below for further information.
By registering your data, you consent to the collection of your data, including, without limitation, Registration Data, by Sing Up and processing of such data by Sing Up in connection with your use of the service. 13. Terms of access/administration of your account and Membership

You are considered a Sing Up account holder upon successfully submitting the Registration Data. An automated email notification will be sent to you for confirmation. You will immediately have access to the benefits accompanied with the chosen account type.

13.1. Sing Up free trial account (Sing Up Friend account)

Upon signing up as a Sing Up Friend (i.e. free trial account) you will have access to a limited number of selected trial resources, which you will be able to download, view, and/or stream for free. Users with Sing Up Friend accounts have the ability to purchase a full individual Membership or apply to join an existing School/Organisation Membership if they are an employee of that school/organisation.

A paid Membership account will convert to a Sing Up Friend account automatically as soon as your Membership expires. Until you purchase and pay for a new Membership period, you are able to access all trial account benefits. Any resources downloaded, unlocked, and/or saved while being a paid Member will be remembered and saved but will be locked until the Membership has been renewed. You will have access to all Membership resources again with active Sing Up Membership.
The free trial account is not subject to an expiry date and will remain active until the account is closed (either by yourself or by Sing Up).

       13.2. School/Organisation (multi-user) Memberships

You will become a Sing Up School/Organisation Member as soon as (a) payment has been received and approved for a new School/Organisation (multi-user) Membership order or renewal order, or (b) as soon as your application to join an active School/Organisation (multi-user) Membership has been accepted. You will then receive an automated email notification confirming your access to all the accompanying Membership benefits for the length of the Membership period.
If you are ordering School/Organisation Membership, upon activation, you will automatically be nominated as the 'Sing Up Admin'. The Sing Up Admin has administrative rights over the School/Organisation Membership and is responsible for adding and/or approving additional users so that other school/organisation staff can access the Site and Services. You will have the opportunity to assign Sing Up Administrator rights to additional users if required. For guidance on how to manage users within your School/Organisation Membership, please visit our FAQs.
There are no restrictions on the number of users that can be authorised to access your School/Organisation (multi-user) Membership so long as they are current employees of your school/organisation and they access the Membership using their own unique username and password combination.
Because your school/organisation might have held Sing Up Membership previously, you may find that upon activation of your Membership, there are some users attached to your school/organisation that are no longer employees. Please take a few moments to audit the users attached to your school and remove anyone no longer eligible. It is against the Terms to share logins or allow any individual not actively employed by your school to access your Sing Up School/Organisation Membership.
Any suspected abuse of the system (eg. granting access to teachers at other schools) will be followed up and Sing Up reserve the right to suspend access to all Membership services until the matter is resolved. In the event that a breach of the Terms is confirmed, Sing Up reserve the right to terminate Membership without refund of monies paid.

       13.3. Individual (single-user) Memberships

You will become a Sing Up Individual Member as soon as payment has been received and approved for a new Individual (single-user) Membership order or renewal order. An automated email notification will be sent to you for confirmation. You will then immediately be entitled to all the accompanying Membership benefits for the length of the Membership period and you will by default become the sole administrator for your Individual Membership.
Individual Memberships are restricted to a single user and it is against the Terms to allow anyone else access to your account. Any suspected abuse of the system (eg. granting access or sharing log-in details with others) will be followed up and Sing Up reserve the right to suspend access to all Membership services until the matter is resolved. In the event that a breach of these Terms and Conditions is confirmed, Sing Up reserve the right to terminate Membership without refund of monies paid.

14. Membership period

The membership period will be defined by the Membership product purchased, but a full standard Sing Up Membership is normally for a period of 12 months (uninterrupted) unless otherwise stated.
The membership period begins on the day your payment has been received and approved. An automated email notification will be sent to you for confirmation. Sing Up shall be under no obligation to provide the Services until the Membership Fee has been paid.
At the end of your Membership period, you can renew your Membership or if you do not wish to continue, simply allow your Membership to expire. On expiry you will be able to enjoy the Sing Up trial account benefits.

15. Sing Up songs and resources, credits, and streaming

Sing Up account holders will have access to high quality songs and resources via the Sing Up website and the Song Bank. Songs and resources will normally need to be unlocked by the use of a credit, except if free access is provided, which may be time limited. Once unlocked, songs and resources are available without time limitation (as long as active Membership is held), this is with the exception of song sheets. Song sheets are available for a period of 12 weeks (uninterrupted). You will have the possibility to re-unlock song sheets again after the 12 weeks have passed.Sing Up reserves the right to make changes to or remove songs and other content without prior notification. Sing Up has no obligation to continue to make available any particular song or resource which has appeared on the website or Song Bank previously. Sing Up reserve the right to change, amend or withdraw access to free songs. All songs and resources made available are subject to the chosen account type, as well as copyright and licence restrictions.

15.1. Sing Up Songs and resources access

Sing Up trial account: If you have a Sing Up trial account (i.e. Sing Up Friend account), the songs and resources you access via the website as part of your trial are for your sole use. You may not share Sing Up's song files or sheet music with others as this is against the law and deemed to be 'file sharing'. This is because it prevents the copyright holders from being paid when their music or lyrics are used.
If you have a Sing Up trial account (i.e. Sing Up Friend account) and your account is connected to a school/organisation without active Membership (eg. expired School/Organisation Membership), you are part of this organisation's Sing Up community and have access to the shared Sing Up resources.
You may not share Sing Up's song files or sheet music with anyone who does not work within your school or organisation as this is against the law and deemed to be 'file sharing'. This is because it prevents the copyright holders from being paid when their music or lyrics are used.
Any suspected abuse of the system (eg. sharing song audio files or sheet music with, other individuals, and/or other schools, organisations or people not working at your school/organisation) will be followed up and Sing Up reserve the right to suspend access to Sing Up services until the matter is resolved. In the event that a breach of these Terms is confirmed, Sing Up reserve the right to deactivate your account without refund of monies paid and/or to take appropriate legal action against you.

School/Organisation Membership: If you have a School/Organisation (multi-user) Membership, the users you authorise to access the website as part of your Sing Up Membership will automatically become part of your organisation's Sing Up community and have access to your Sing Up resources.
You may not share Sing Up's song files or sheet music with anyone who does not work within your school or organisation as this is against the law and deemed to be 'file sharing'. This is because it prevents the copyright holders from being paid when their music or lyrics are used.
Any suspected abuse of the system (eg. sharing song audio files or sheet music with other schools, organisations or people not working at your school/organisation) will be followed up and Sing Up reserve the right to suspend access to all Membership services until the matter is resolved. In the event that a breach of these Terms is confirmed, Sing Up reserve the right to terminate Membership without refund of monies paid and/or to take appropriate legal action against you.

Individual Membership: If you have an Individual (single-user) Membership the songs you access via the Sing Up Website are for your sole use. You may not share Sing Up's song files or sheet music with others as this is against the law and deemed to be 'file sharing'. This is because it prevents the copyright holders from being paid when their music or lyrics are used.
Any suspected abuse of the system (eg. sharing song audio files or sheet music with others) will be followed up and Sing Up reserve the right to suspend access to all Membership services until the matter is resolved. In the event that a breach of these Terms is confirmed, Sing Up reserve the right to terminate Membership without refund of monies paid and/or to take appropriate legal action against you.

15.2. Credits access, top-up and unused credits

Sing Up trial account: As a Sing Up Friend (incl. expired Members) you will not have access to and will not be able to purchase credits as these are only available to users with active Membership.

School/Organisation Membership: The number of credits you have available at any given time are for your organisation/school as a whole and usage by each of the authorised users will reduce the amount of credits remaining accordingly. It is the Sing Up Admin's responsibility to inform authorised users of this and convey any rules/restrictions/fair usage policies as deemed appropriate by your organisation.
Additional credits are available for purchase through our online shop in order to 'top up' your available credits. In relation to School/Organisation (multi-user) Memberships, any downloads or other digital assets purchased by any of the authorised users will automatically become part of your organisation's Sing Up community and all authorised users will have access to your Sing Up resources via the Sing Up website.
In normal circumstances members are allowed to carry over unused credits from one year's Membership to the next provided the Membership is renewed prior to the expiry date. However, Sing Up reserves the right to cap the number of unused credits a member can carry over at any time.
If you allow your Membership to expire, you will lose any unused credits. On occasion, Sing Up may give lapsed Members the opportunity to regain their unused credits upon renewal of Membership. This is entirely at the discretion of Sing Up and not an automatic benefit of Membership.
Unused credits cannot be redeemed in monetary value.

       15.3. Streaming Fair Usage Policy

Streaming Sing Up songs is subject to a Fair Usage Policy, as set out below:
A Sing Up trial user (i.e. Sing Up Friend) is free to stream any trial songs as part of the account benefits. The number of streams permissible is based upon an estimated maximum number of streams which a trial user will need. This maximum number of streams is set to a very high level and ordinarily trial account holders will be able to stream trial songs as much as they want to.
School/Organisation Membership streams are scaled according to school size, based on the number of pupils on the school roll. The price of Membership is based upon an estimated maximum number of streams which a school/organisation of that size will need. This maximum number of streams is set to a very high level and ordinarily members will be able to stream songs as much as they want to.
The number of streams for an Individual Member is set to the same upper limit as for a small school. This should be more than enough for an individual user.

Excessive usage by any user will be treated the same under the terms of the Fair Usage Policy:
If any user vastly exceeds the given streaming limit, Sing Up reserves the right to take action as follows:

Sing Up may contact the trial user or member to find out why excessive streaming is occurring and whether a solution can be found. Sometimes a technical error can be identified and resolved, providing a solution to the problem. In extreme cases where a solution cannot be found Sing Up reserves the right to suspend or terminate the account until the matter can be resolved. Resolution may include the user purchasing an additional streaming top-up to cover their usage over and above the limit.

       15.4. Disputes

In the event of any disputes arising concerning streaming/credit usage, Sing Up will endeavour to provide analytical information on your usage for purposes of clarification but has no liability to do so and will not be held responsible for any disputes that arise as a result of usage by users you have authorised to access the service.
