Publishing Manager at Sing Up
We're hiring
Closing date: 11pm, Sunday 13 September 2026
Join Sing Up and help shape the future of music education.
Sing Up is a music education company that believes in the power of singing to transform lives. We support schools, teachers and music practitioners through high-quality resources, training, and a global digital platform.
We’re looking for a highly organised and detail-focused Publishing Manager to lead the delivery of our music publishing and learning content.
This role is central to ensuring our music content (including songs, arrangements, recordings, and teaching resources) is delivered to a high standard, from commissioning through to publication.
About the role
As Publishing Manager, you’ll take responsibility for the end‑to‑end delivery of music publishing and learning content, ensuring work is planned, coordinated, and delivered effectively and efficiently across teams.
You’ll:
- Translate content and publishing strategy into clear delivery plans.
- Manage workflows across music production, editorial, and digital publishing.
- Coordinate contributors and partners.
- Act as final editorial sign‑off for the majority of published content.
You’ll work closely with editors, digital, marketing, and partnerships colleagues, as well as songwriters, composers, arrangers, engineers, and a variety of external partners.
This is a collaborative role combining project management, editorial quality assurance, and music publishing expertise, ensuring content is delivered on time, to an excellent standard, and aligned with organisational priorities.
About you
You’re an experienced and highly organised professional who thrives on turning ideas into well executed outcomes. You bring:
- Strong experience managing complex publishing or content delivery projects in music publishing, music education, or a related creative field.
- Understanding of how music content is developed, including songs, arrangements, notation and/or recordings.
- Confidence working across editorial, production, and digital workflows.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage timelines, priorities, and multiple stakeholders.
You take pride in quality and consistency, and bring a practical understanding of what makes content accurate, usable, and ready for publication.
You’re proactive, solutions focused and calm under pressure, able to bring structure and momentum to collaborative work.
An understanding of rights and licensing in music publishing is desirable, but just as important is your ability to learn quickly and apply sound judgement.
Our workforce is diverse in many areas but underrepresented in others. We understand how people with different lived experience will enrich the work we do, and for this reason, we welcome and encourage applications from people from the Global Majority, people with a lived experience of disability, and people from the LGBTQIA+ community.
Why join us
We are an innovative, future-focused team committed to improving how education supports children and young people, particularly through creativity, music, and emerging technologies.
How to apply:
Applications by CV and covering letter in your preferred format to [email protected] explaining your suitability for the role and demonstrating how your skills and experience match the job specification. We don't necessarily expect applicants to come with all the skills and experience stated within the job specification, but the willingness and aptitude to develop them is essential.
If you have a disability or need to submit your application in an alternative way, please let us know.
Closing date: 11pm, Sunday 13 September 2026

Our commitment to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
We are committed to educating ourselves, addressing the barriers to equality, equity and diversity, and creating an inclusive environment. This matters to us because if we fail to reflect the wider society in all we do, we know we risk becoming less relevant and too narrow in our focus.
In the coming years we will be looking for new ways to cherish our existing customers and engage with communities we haven’t connected with before.
Our commitment towards anti-racism
At Sing Up, we are actively working to become an anti-racist organisation. This means we are committed to unlearning white supremacy and the legacies of colonisation in our structures, practices, and thinking. We expect all team members to join us in this ongoing work – developing racial literacy with openness, humility, and a willingness to reflect, learn, and grow.
Our anti-racist practices include:
- Embedding anti-racism in our work, including regular reflective sessions and learning opportunities.
- Reviewing and revising our language, resources, and communications to challenge colonial narratives and promote inclusive representation.
- Partnering with organisations and individuals from underrepresented communities to co-create content and deliver training.
- Auditing our policies and decision-making processes to identify and dismantle systemic bias.
- Creating space for honest dialogue and feedback, and ensuring accountability across all levels of the organisation.
We know this work is never finished, and we are committed to doing it with integrity and care.
