About us

We are an award-winning organisation which makes transformative change happen in schools to enhance children’s development and learning through the power of music and singing. Developed by teachers and experts, we have been supporting schools’ singing and music making for fifteen years, and today Sing Up’s digital platform is used and loved by teachers and pupils around the world.

We are passionate about giving all children and young people opportunities to sing and make music – for personal enjoyment, to support learning and to help them to develop lasting tools to express themselves with confidence and creativity.

Our commitment to Equity, Diversity & Inclusion

We are committed to educating ourselves, addressing the barriers to equality, equity and diversity, and creating an inclusive environment. This matters to us because if we fail to reflect the wider society in all we do, we know we risk becoming less relevant and too narrow in our focus.

In the coming years we will be looking for new ways to cherish our existing customers and engage with communities we haven’t connected with before.

Our commitment towards Anti-racism

At Sing Up, we are actively working to become an anti-racist organisation. This means we are committed to unlearning white supremacy and the legacies of colonisation in our structures, practices, and thinking. We expect all team members to join us in this ongoing work – developing racial literacy with openness, humility, and a willingness to reflect, learn, and grow.

Our anti-racist practices include:

  • Embedding anti-racism in our work, including regular reflective sessions and learning opportunities.
  • Reviewing and revising our language, resources, and communications to challenge colonial narratives and promote inclusive representation.
  • Partnering with organisations and individuals from underrepresented communities to co-create content and deliver training.
  • Auditing our policies and decision-making processes to identify and dismantle systemic bias.
  • Creating space for honest dialogue and feedback, and ensuring accountability across all levels of the organisation.

We know this work is never finished, and we are committed to doing it with integrity and care.
