Mary Mack/Furrem be me heen

Traditional Scottish Gaelic

Save

This song comprises two folk melodies that blend together wonderfully. Furrem me be heen is a type of song composed to accompany dancing when there aren’t any instruments available to play. It therefore has a very strong rhythm. The Gaelic language tells the story of going to a wedding, so it is perfectly accompanied by Mary Mack, a tongue-twister from Glasgow which is about getting married.
