The ugly duckling

This is from a musical film about Danish author Hans Christian Andersen. The fairytale of the ugly duckling, written by Andersen, carries an important message about how it feels to be excluded from a group or society. In this story, the excluded duckling triumphs and becomes a graceful swan and is accepted by a new society — he feels his happiness all the more having been excluded all his life.
