This is a really fun song – you’ll hardly notice you’re doing number work at all!
My gran gave me a big bar of chocolate
Twenty-four pieces! Wow!
Now, I’m a chocoholic so I shared it with myself,
Twenty-four pieces! Wow!
Twenty-four shared by one is twenty-four.
Then up comes Lewis, ‘I just LOVE chocolate,
Twenty-four pieces! Wow!’
That’s two chocoholics, twenty-four pieces,
How many pieces each now?
Twenty-four shared by two is twelve.
Then up comes Laxmi, ‘I just LOVE chocolate,
Twenty-four pieces! Wow!’
That’s three chocoholics, twenty-four pieces,
How many pieces each now?
Twenty-four shared by three is eight.
Then up comes Luke, ‘I just LOVE chocolate,
Twenty-four pieces! Wow!’
That’s four chocoholics, twenty-four pieces,
How many pieces each now?
Twenty-four shared by four is six.
Then up comes Leah, ‘I just LOVE chocolate,
Twenty-four pieces! Wow!’
That’s five chocoholics, twenty-four pieces,
How many pieces each now?
Twenty-four shared by five is four remainder four.
Then up comes Lee, ‘I just LOVE chocolate,
Twenty-four pieces! Wow!’
That’s six chocoholics, twenty-four pieces,
How many pieces each now?
Twenty-four shared by six is four.
Then up comes Lara, ‘I just LOVE chocolate,
Twenty-four pieces! Wow!’
That’s seven chocoholics, twenty-four pieces,
How many pieces each now?
Twenty-four shared by seven is three remainder three.
Then up comes Leroy, ‘I just LOVE chocolate,
Twenty-four pieces! Wow!’
That’s eight chocoholics, twenty-four pieces,
How many pieces each now?
Twenty-four shared by eight is three.
My gran gave me a big bar of chocolate
Twenty-four pieces! Wow!
