As any music lover will know, Summer is THE time for outdoor concerts. Sing Up Community, Opera North (whose previous work is pictured right) will be getting into the groove to perform a free event in Bridlington Spa Gardens on 7th August.
The free interactive performance will be led by a professional Singing Leader with a live band. It will invite spectators to sing old favourites and learn exciting new songs. There will be two sessions: one at 1:45pm and 5pm.
Helen Mahoney, Education Programme Manager with Opera North, is really looking forward to the event. "The idea is to get as many people as possible together to perform and celebrate all the brilliant singing that is going on in the town" she said, "Word sheets will be provided and you don't need any previous singing experience to take part."
The concert is part of Sing ON Bridlington, a month-long series of street entertainments throughout the town. It is organised by the Bridlington Renaissance Partnership and Spa Theatre.
