The relaunched site has many new and exciting features!
You’ve probably noticed that www.singup.org looks very different now. In the summer, we developed our website following research and feedback from teachers and leaders across the country. Our main goal was to make it simpler to navigate so you can get everything you need from Sing Up more easily.
You’ll find all of your favourites, like the Song Bank, plus some new exciting sections. Here’s a taster – so go and explore the site today!
THREE NEW REASONS TO CLICK ON TO OUR WEBSITE
1. SONGS AND TEACHING RESOURCES
We’ve completely changed the way we present our resources. This area now has two new sections alongside Song Bank – Teaching Tools and the Voice Box.
In the Teaching Tools, you’ll find useful guides and tutorials to help get singing into every school day. These include a set of lesson plans, which demonstrate how singing can be used to teach subjects across the curriculum at both Key Stages. These plans are just examples, and we’ve also provided a template for you to use in your planning.
In the Voice Box, you’ll find resources for shorter singing sessions, tips and techniques to help you look after your voice and the voices of your pupils, and the warm-ups from the old-look site.
In the Song Bank, we’ve worked on improving the search function. So you can now filter songs by more categories like range and optional instrumental parts. We’ve also added a keyword search function, to help you find what you're looking for more quickly.
2. TRAINING
You can now book online for the Sing Up Training Programme, our own series of workshops run across the country by the best trainers, covering a range of topics. We’ll also be featuring training videos here, showing you the types of activity you can expect from one of our workshops.
You can also visit your Area Leader’s page to get contact information, hear about activities they’re working on and read about the events they’re running in your local area.
3. MAGAZINE
Visit the Magazine Area for special extras, such as bonus articles, postcards, holiday fun packs and any other goodies mentioned in articles throughout Sing Up. Look for the More Online logo throughout the issue.
You’ll also be able to access every article that’s ever been in the magazine, add them to your favourites and send them to your friends.
We'll be adding more features to the website as the year progresses, so keep visiting!
