Music and Your Child

It’s never too soon to introduce music and singing to children.

In fact, considerable research has been undertaken on the positive effects of singing and playing music to babies that are still developing in the womb.

Many parents find that music has a soothing effect on their babies both before and after birth; so regularly singing a lullaby during pregnancy might help to make the first few weeks with your new baby a bit easier.

And once they have the musical bug, there's loads you can do as a family to encourage and nurture the joy of singing in your children throughout their lives.

Get started by learning more about how young voices develop, and encourage your children to join in with our specially-prepared singing activities as they grow.
