Sing Up Burton is an 18-month project aimed at increasing singing activity in schools and embedding it in the wider community.

Sing Up leaders are working in primary and secondary schools, youth and community groups, and are inviting everyone to enjoy the benefits of getting together for a good sing!

Activities happening include:

• Song-writing workshops for children making the transition from primary to secondary school.
• Breakfast, lunchtime and after-school singing clubs for primary school children.
• Training for teachers, youth leaders, musicians, classroom assistants, lunchroom supervisors, community leaders, parents, children and young people in leading singing activities.
• Bringing children and young people together for joint performances, collaborative creative sessions and sharing of traditional songs from various cultures and transitions.
• Sing-along sessions in community and public venues.
