Chantez plus forte: Flashcards

Want help teaching French vowels? Let Sing Up show you how!

Chantez plus forte: Flashcards

All over the world, adults sing lullabies and nursery rhymes to babies and toddlers to help them learn to speak. It comes naturally to parents and shows that singing can be an effective strategy to support learning a new language.

In 2009, Sing Up worked with Primary Languages Consultant Christine Robertson and schools in the North East to develop a model teachers can use to teach French in schools.

As part of her work, Christine created these fun flashcards to help with the vowel sounds.

What a great idea, Christine! I'm the Music AND French co-ordinator at the primary school where I teach and these are super. Thank you! Glad I decided to have a more in-depth look through what is available at the Singup website!! - Dawn Hitchen, Walmsley CE School, Bolton.
