Sing Up - Help kids find their voiceTEACHERS & MUSIC LEADERS
I want to get my class singing! What do I do next?
Sing Up is producing new resources designed to support singing leaders at any level of ability. The Sing Up magazine, available free of charge to all primary schools each term, will contain at least 10 songs in each issue, each accompanied by teaching notes and backing tracks. Additional songs and materials are available through this website in the Song Bank.

If you need some further guidance to set you on your way, there are many experienced individuals and specialist organisations out there who can help you. Whether you’d like to work with a gospel leader to bring new musical styles to your existing repertoire, or set up a year-long training initiative for all the staff in your school, Sing Up can help point you in the right direction.

Recipes for Success - Case Studies
The Sing Up recipe cards give a small taster of some of the fantastic singing projects that have been raising the roofs of schools across the land. Most of the projects were devised for KS1 and 2 children with little experience of singing and have received national – and in some cases international – recognition for the positive benefits they have brought in enabling young people to enjoy singing as part of their everyday lives.

Professional support
  • Visit the Skills and Training area of the website for more information about the training and support that will be offered throughout the country through Sing Up.
  • Musicleader.net is a support service dedicated to the professional development of UK music leaders. Register online free of charge today, and you can search the extensive database of music providers to find a singing leader or music organisation local to you, or search the training directory for courses in your area.
  • Contact your local Music Service for information about local singing initiatives that you may be able to join. Many Music Services employ specialist vocal co-ordinators who work directly with teachers and their pupils to improve group singing.
