Secondary Singing Handbook: Training and networks

Find out more about Sing Up training, networks and partnerships.

The Sing Up Training, Networks and Partnerships team work with a range of music educators across England with expertise and experience working in secondary settings - delivering both to children and young people, and also training the staff and adults working with them.

We recognise the need to build on the great work that has already been done in primary schools by providing:

  • training opportunities and individual recognition for those working in, and with, secondary schools.

  • access to high quality singing development and activities for children and young people of secondary age through teachers, schools or Local Providers.

In the remainder of the 2011/12 financial year, Sing Up is establishing groups of organisations and individuals called ‘Sing Up Local Providers’ to work in partnership to respond to the needs of schools.

This will not be available in all areas of the country, and is very much part of our research and development work.

News of training opportunities and developments in the Sing Up Local Provider network will appear on the Sing Up website throughout the year so keep checking for updates!
