Getting Started

A short guide full of tips and tricks to help get you started

Starting from scratch

A day to get singing started in your classroom. It doesn’t sound like a lot does it? And the great thing is that in as little as 5 minutes you can achieve great things. You can build your children’s confidence, re-energise yourself and your class, give your class a reason to look forward to the next day and improve their self-esteem. That’s a lot to gain from such a short space of time. To get you started we’ve come up with a list of pointers:

 

Register for the Song Bank and the magazine. Here you can find lots of fun and easy ways to involve singing in your everyday activities!

 

Start it slow! If you are nervous about getting your class singing, or even singing yourself, start with a basic warm-up. You can find loads of warm-ups in our Song Bank.

 

Don’t be afraid! We’ve identified some starter songs for you to check out to see what catches your fancy. Try one or try them all.
