This is an excellent song for boosting self confidence in young children.
I’m OK!
I was meant to be.
No mistake,
There’s a place for me.
Whatever people say,
I am me — and that’s OK!
I’m unique,
There’s no-one like me.
It’s a fact,
I’m a VIP.
No matter what they say,
I am me — and that’s OK!
I’m me! It’s a wonderful thing to be;
And I make no apology,
‘Cause I’m learning to be myself.
It’s true! It’s OK to be me, not you;
‘Cause the way that I’m made is good,
And I’m learning to like myself.
I’m OK!
I have dignity.
You could say
I’m at home with me.
Whatever people say,
I am me — and that’s OK!
I’m unique.
Take a look at me.
Nothing cheap,
This is quality!
No matter what they say,
I am me — and that’s OK!
I’m me! It’s a wonderful thing to be ...
(Repeat verses 1 and 2 with additional vocals):
I’m OK!
I was really
Meant to be,
There’s a place for me.
Whatever people say,
I am me — and that’s OK!
I’m unique,
There’s nobody
Else like me.
It's a fact, I am a VIP.
No matter what they say,
I am me — and that’s OK!
I’m OK!

Out of the Ark Music
This PSHE resource contains 15 songs written around the general theme of the body, but more specifically, how to keep healthy, learning to accept oneself and to get along with others. This title is ideal for helping to teach Citizenship, the Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning (SEAL), and developing the Healthy Schools concept.
