This is an excellent song for boosting self confidence in young children.
Words and Music by Mark and Helen Johnson

I’m OK! I was meant to be.
No mistake, there’s a place for me.
Whatever people say,
I am me — and that’s OK!
I’m unique, there’s no-one like me.
It’s a fact, I’m a VIP.
No matter what they say,
I am me — and that’s OK!
I’m me! It’s a wonderful thing to be;
And I make no apology,
’Cause I’m learning to be myself.
It’s true! It’s OK to be me, not you;
’Cause the way that I’m made is good,
And I’m learning to like myself.
I’m OK! I have dignity.
You could say I’m at home with me.
Whatever people say,
I am me — and that’s OK!
I’m unique. Take a look at me.
Nothing cheap, this is quality!
No matter what they say,
I am me — and that’s OK!
I’m me! It’s a wonderful thing to be;
And I make no apology,
’Cause I’m learning to be myself.
It’s true! It’s OK to be me, not you;
’Cause the way that I’m made is good,
And I’m learning to like myself.
I’m OK! I was meant to be.
No mistake, there’s a place for me.
Whatever people say,
I am me — and that’s OK!
I’m unique, there’s no-one like me.
It’s a fact, I’m a VIP.
No matter what they say,
I am me — and that’s OK!
I’m OK!
(Additional vocals)
I’m OK! I was really meant to be,
There’s a place for me.
Whatever people say,
I am me — and that’s OK!
I’m unique, there’s nobody else like me.
It's a fact, I am a VIP.
No matter what they say,
I am me — and that’s OK!
I’m OK!

I can't download the music as I'm overseas but I've worked out the chords by ear all but one. Can anyone PLEASE tell me what is that chord in the refrain ,second line to go with "Apology" (sounds like Eb but it doesn't work as an Eb chord)
I have tried just about every combination, from inversions to augmentations etc just can't get it!
Thanks Jane (Hong Kong)

Great song. Year 5 used it in their class assembly and my Year 1s loved it so much they've asked me to find the music so they can sing it again.
