We at St Joseph's Deptford will be holding a concert for parents and carers at the end of the day - our 20 star challange. Each year group including Reception will sing a Sing Up song. Our headteacher will join the singing during one class and the choir will also perform a rap they have created to the music of Jay Z's "Hard Knock Life". It's all a bit stressful as it was only confirmed a week ago but exciting too! I have submitted the event to the map twice but I can't see it on there - hope it will turn up soon.

We, at South Rise, are having a whole day of singing starting with our breakfast club through to our after school club. We are using the day as a boost to start our singing stop in the playground and aim to get the dinner ladies singing. We are also having two separate concerts for KS1 and KS2 at the end of the day for parents to join us in our singing. Staff are being encouraged to use songs wherever possible during the day.

We are holding a special Sing Up Day Assembly for the whole school - Meadowfield ( a special school of over 200 pupils, aged 4-16). In music lessons we are busy trying out warm ups and songs to include. Our 2 pop bands are rehearsing the backings at lunchtime. I'm going to show everyone how to access the website. I'm also going to include subject related songs to raise awareness of possibilities for staff. We'd love to invite parents but there won't be enough room. The resources and activity pack are really useful and helpful to share with other staff.
