Platinum Award in Peterborough

William Law School in Peterborough celebrate receiving their Sing Up award in style!

Platinum Award in Peterborough

Singing school, William Law CE Primary School, deserve a huge round of applause after they were presented with their Platinum Award at the Cambridgeshire Sings event on October 6th 2009.

Singing for all

The school is dedicated to using singing to empower children and it really is the whole school that sings - everyday begins with a song at a daily assembly and ends with classes singing an 'End of Day Round' when it’s time to go home. Teachers are encouraged to lead singing in their classrooms in every lesson and all the staff, including office staff, cleaners and even lunchtime supervisors took part in a sponsored sing for Red Nose Day.

Cambridgeshire Sings!

Pupils from Years 4, 5 and 6 at William Law sang in front of a packed hall in University of Cambridge after being presented with their Sing Up Platinum Award a few weeks ago. The talented choir sang seven songs from memory, including two from the Song Bank - I can see clearly now and Life is what you make it – a firm favourite with the whole school. They shared the bill with fellow Platinum School Spaldwick Primary and Chorister Outreach Programme School Sutton Primary. It was a proud moment for the school and we are delighted to have William Law as Platinum School.

Congratulations!
