Singing in the Roman Baths!

A very excited group of Year 2 children from Whitchurch Primary School sang all the way to The Roman Baths on Thursday, helping to continue the School Trip Singalong bus tour.

Donning macs, Whitchurch Primary boarded the open top bus, braving the threatening grey skies. Despite strong West Country winds, the weather held out and everyone bellowed renditions of Here's to the Romans and Researching the Romans with pride.

Two pupils, Joseph and Imogen, also led their class on the speaker system with popular Sing Up chants H.E.L.L.O and Boom Chicka Boom

On arrival, the kids assembled in the main ‘tepidarium’ singing We have been to Aquae Sulis to crowds of tourists watching the spectacle. After some lunch our new local celebrities toured the rest of the Baths, learning how to create mosaics, take a Roman bath and wear a toga. What a great day out!

The School Trip Singalong bus tour steams ahead to Kent over the next few days, ready for a visit to Canterbury Cathedral next week.

Why not check out what songs they'll be singing on the way, and test your local knowledge? Of course, no matter where your trip is heading, check out some of our great ideas to keep you learning along the way!
