We’re excited to announce that in April 2012 we will be launching a new Sing Up Awards Framework that has been redeveloped following feedback from Awards Schools. The Awards criteria have been updated to make them accessible to all primary settings, showing clearer progression as well as integrating the Principles of Good Quality Vocal Leadership.
The criteria and handbook for the new Awards will be available from April 2012 so that schools can start their journey in the summer term. Schools (using the new criteria) will be able to upload their evidence using an updated Awards Tool from September 2012. Register your interest to the new Awards by emailing us.
Nearly finished with your Award?
If you’re already working towards an Award (using the current criteria), you can continue with your journey in the usual way in the spring and summer terms but you must ensure that you submit your evidence by 11 June 2012.
If you haven’t been collecting evidence recently or feel that you will not have enough time to complete your Award by 11 June, we recommend that you start to use the new Awards Framework from April.
Awards and Membership
Please note that from 1 April 2012, your school will need to become a member to continue your Awards journey.

Dear Mr Howe,
Yes! With our new membership scheme from April, the Awards Journey will be exclusive to members, but all awards gained before this time are fantastic acheivements and are absolutely still valid. For more information, contact our awards team or see our membership pages.

Our school has recently achieved the silver singing award. Will this achievement still stand when the new awards profile are introduced in April?

Dear Mrs Moorhouse,
Thanks for your interest in the Sing Up Awards. We hope that in the future we will be able to develop an Award process for Secondary schools, however, our current Awards don’t cater for mainstream secondary settings. In the mean time, we would suggest that you look at ArtsMark and the Arts Awards schemes which are both open to secondary schools and their pupils.

Are there any plans to involve secondary schools in the awards scheme?
