Sing Up is delighted to announce that in collaboration with colleagues at the University of Sunderland, we can now offer a Singing Leadership module at Undergraduate and Postgraduate level starting from February 2012.
There are two new modules aimed at existing singing leaders who are keen to have their skills academically recognised, and who feel they would welcome this structured opportunity to relate theory to practice in their singing leading. The deadline for enrolling on the modules is Monday 16th January 2012.
The modules provide the opportunity to develop the skills of singing leaders who work within a range of contexts. This work could be as part of paid employment or voluntary activity.
Students will be encouraged to relate relevant theory to their own practice, and develop their skills through the development of a reflective, evaluative portfolio. Students will also be able to access practical workshops organised by Sing Up, and reflect upon their own leadership style.
The modules will consist of 2 one-day sessions at the University of Sunderland and The Sage Gateshead, as well as the opportunity to attend a variety of Sing Up training sessions provided across the country.
For further information and detail about either module, including the enrolment requirements and fees, please contact the University of Sunderland Recruitment team at: Ell.enquiries@sunderland.ac.uk or phone 0191 515 3845.
