Make it count for 123sing!

If your school loves to sing, take part in 123sing! to raise money to help disadvantaged children through the healing power of music.

Make it count for 123sing!

123sing! is the nation’s biggest celebration of singing, created by Making Music and Classic FM. This national fundraising event from 30 September – 2 October 2011 is in aid of music education and therapy projects for the UK’s most disadvantaged children.

Hold a 123sing! assembly on Friday 30 September, or any other day close to the event, and ask the kids and teachers to ‘bring-a-pound-and-sing’. Or why not get the kids together in the playground to sing for the parents at hometime and pass a bucket round at the end? There are lots of other ideas on the 123sing! website if you fancy trying something a little different.

Your school can keep 25% of the money raised and what’s more, your school will be entered into a draw to win Yamaha instruments and Classic FM CDs for your school. The school that raises the most will win a very special invitation to visit the studios of Classic FM, the UK’s largest commercial radio station as they broadcast live to the nation!

Visit the 123sing! website to register your school today and sign up for the special schools pack, which will be available before the end of term.

If you need ideas for repertoire, our Song Bank has it all!
