On a Saturday football grounds are usually reserved for raucous chants and cheers. However, on February 27th Milton Keynes Dons stadium hosted something more angelic: A primary school singing showcase!
Brookmead School, Ivinghoe, were among nine primary school choirs showcasing their talent as part of the Choir of the Year and Sing Up supported 'Moving on Up' project.
For the project, members of three local youth choirs and their conductors each visited three primary schools and taught them new songs and worked on performance techniques.
The experience was enjoyed by all who attended. Katie Crombie of Year 6 summed up the excitement of the Brookmead KS2 choir. “The sound of everyone singing was breathtaking and I don’t think I’ll ever forget that moment in my life!".
