Manchester Music Service has been developing a singing programme for pupils making the step from primary to secondary education.
During the Autumn term a vocal specialist from the Music Service worked alongside music teachers in five High schools to set up a number of Year 7 Choirs.
The programme has had significant success and the next stage is to launch the ’Manchester Young Song Leaders Programme’ on 20th March.
It will start with a day of vocal leadership workshops and develop into a series of events for year 7 singers.
