The day started on a high when it was announced that the school had sucessfully achieved their Gold Sing Up Award. The good news clearly put everybody in the mood to celebrate 'Sing Up Style'!
Cherhill school sang their way through to home time using the Song Bank in their classrooms: performing for the local luncheon club, singing with their parents in the playground and even composing their own special National Sing Up Day songs.
Deputy Head Helen Williams said: "It's been great to celebrate our Gold Award by immersing ourselves in singing for a whole day. National Sing Up Day has really helped the teachers to become more confident in leading singing. Some of the staff were nervous about composing songs with their classes but everyone had really stepped up to the mark".
Congratulations Cherhill C of E!
Here's how to achieve your own Gold Award.
