St Mary's RC Primary School in Ipswich, Suffolk, displayed a wealth of talent and enthusiasm in their NSUD celebrations!
The festivities included performances from every class to the whole school, parents and community. The room was filled with song, dance and music. Year 1 children took the opportunity to show-off their French language skills, with a song about colours, whilst older children sang in multiple parts, led singing with their friend, and even encouraged the parents to join in towards the end of the assembly. Music Coordinator Julie Dyer, who has participated in our Vocal Force training, may soon find parents itching to start a choir for parents to join with as well!
In the afternoon Year 3 join their local school Rushmere Hall Primary to take part in a Big Sing as part of the national record attempt Sing and Sign challenge. They'll be singing Build it high, and signing along with over 91,000 children across the country.
A real highlight was the whole school singing Great day, no one could help but join in and the song left the school feeling truly inspired. A huge congratulations to all involved at St Mary's!
