1,000 pupils from 11 Lincolnshire primary schools gathered at the Lincolnshire Showground on 19 October for ‘Pass It On’, the culmination of four years of Sing Up across the county. The day’s highlights included the first performance of a song for 1,000 voices written especially for the occasion, and a presentation to each of the schools taking part by Sing Up Programme Director Baz Chapman.
The event was organised by soundLINCS, Sing Up Area Leader for Lincolnshire, as a celebration of the achievement of singing schools during the programme. 98% of primary schools in the county are now registered with Sing Up and soundLINCS has recently announced that Lincolnshire now boasts the highest number of Sing Up Award holders of any single county in England and Wales.
Platinum and Gold Schools are still buzzing about ‘Pass It On’, describing it as ‘Inspirational’, ‘Amazing’ and ‘Unique’.
