If you are registered with your school, organisation, music service or as a freelancer, you can download the songsheets attached to a song. The different types available are:
- Melody line: This is the score that you can print for class use.

Don’t worry if you or your class can’t read music! If you listen to the performance track you’ll be able to follow the rise and fall of the melody line. We’ve found that children quickly adapt to using these scores instead of reading conventional lyric-only sheets, and it’s a great way of introducing music notation to children of any age.
These sheets can also be used if you or anyone in your class is learning the guitar, early piano, or to practise the first stages of music theory.
- Full arrangement: This is the score you can use to accompany your class.

This is the full piano score arrangement. It also has the lyrics so you can follow along as you play.
Both the melody line and the full arrangements are PDFs, although the full arrangement also comes as a Scorch file. Using the Scorch file, you can listen along to the music, transpose the score higher or lower, and print your personal transposition.
You’ll need Adobe Reader to open these files, but you can download and install this software using the link on the Song Bank:
- Instrumental parts: Some songs have extra parts for instrumentalists. You can find a list of these songs by using the filters under ‘Musical format’ for ‘Additional instrumental parts’. These are also printable PDFs.
If you’d like to use the lyrics in class, you can display the lyrics on the interactive whiteboard, by pressing the ‘Display on whiteboard’ button to the right of a song’s page. This will bring the words up on the board large enough for everyone to follow along.
A lot of of song lyrics can be found 'karaoke style' on our Sing and Share resource. Logged in users can find it within our Songs & Teaching Resources area.
We hope this helps! If you have any further Song Bank queries, make sure to check out our FAQs.
