Congratulations to Westlea Primary School who were presented with their Platinum Award on 20th July at a special singing assembly. Songs were beautifully sung by the whole school, the schools choirs and all the teachers. It demonstrated the great enthusiasm the school has - and showed why they were picked to become ambassadors for Sing Up!
Liz Terry, Sing Up Area Leader for Swindon, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire said “It is always a thrill to visit the school. There is so much singing everywhere: in the classroom, in the playground - not forgetting music festivals and grandparents day!”
John Winterflood of Swindon Music Service endorsed Westlea’s Platinum Award. He congratulated the school, noting “Westlea is one of the very few who have this award. They are champions for singing, setting an example to all the hundreds of schools in this region.”
