What type of food is linked with singing and celebration? Cake of course! This month a number of schools celebrated their Sing Up Awards in style with singing concerts - and a wonderful array of sweet treats!
Almondsbury Primary in South Gloucestershire had a Platinum Award Party with cream teas and Vickerstown Primary School in Cumbria had a Strawberry Tea Dance to celebrate achieving their Silver Award!
According to Liz Wiejak, Awards Champion of Vickerstown, there was a fabulous selection of scones, meringues with oodles of strawberries and cream, whilst children and parents waltzed and sang. The event even raised £200 for breast cancer charities.
Marlfields Primary School, Congleton also celebrated achieving their Gold Award with confectionery: all 240 pupils enjoying a slice of a specially made Sing Up cake during an afternoon singing workshop.
Congratulation to all schools achieving their Sing Up Awards this month. If you’ve achieved an Award, let us know how you celebrated by emailing magazine@singup.org.
