Festive charity songs are a well established tradition. Remember Band Aid? Even Eric Clapton and Terry Wogan are getting in on the act this year.
Joining the ranks for 2009 are two groups from Cumbria, who have both recorded songs in aid the Cumbria Floods Recovery Fund - a charity which aims to help those affected by the floods and storms.
North Lakes School Choir has recorded Las Campanas (Ring the Bells) and Area Leaders SoundWave have been involved in the recording of What Can be Done? Both are specially commissioned pieces and are available now to download and buy.
Martyn Soulsby, who is connected with the North Lakes single is very excited. "Sales have been excellent so far. The press are very interested and we’ve had requests coming from all over the UK!"
