Sing Up Bedfordshire is an integral part of a wider three-year singing strategy for the county. Initial areas included in its project are Goldington, Putnoe, Kempston, Dunstable and Houghton Regis.

In addition to school-based workshops, Sing Up Bedfordshire aims to develop strong community links targeting particular areas of need within the county.

This project offers specialist school-based vocal activities to lower and middle schools, with a particular focus on KS2. High-quality musical opportunities encourage children and young people to sing both in and out of school, enabling them to experience the joy of singing.

Sing Up Bedfordshire aims to facilitate and establish self-sustaining community vocal groups, tailored to the needs of the community, using singing to celebrate diversity through music.

The leaders of Sing Up Bedfordshire are keen to support individual development through the Every Child Matters programme, helping to reduce the number of school exclusions.
