How much are individual schools going to have to pay to access the Sing Up website from April 2012?

Hi Mrs Shaw,
The limited funding which Government granted to Sing Up this year was provided in order to allow us to create a sustainable model from 2012. Like you, we believe in the power of singing to transform school life and we've been working to ensure that at the end of this funding cycle, schools will still be able to access all of the elements of Sing Up that they value most. We are going through an extensive evaluation process at the moment to ensure we put together the right packages for 2012, and continue to build upon the great achievements that we've all seen in schools using singing as part of their everyday life. Please keep an eye on our website for more details in the new year, as we're also hoping to help by providing some ideas on how you can fundraise for your membership and ensure that the children you work with continue to enjoy the benefits of singing.

I understand that from April 2012 schools will have to pay an annual subscription to use Sing Up. I think this goes against the aims and manifesto of the organisation and I am deeply concerned that schools will just not be able to afford to pay. That would be disastrous as many schools and the children within them will just stop singing.

Mrs Broomfield
Is there an easy way of finding songs that fit with the SEAL themes?

Hi Ms Weston,
Thanks for the feedback, glad you're enjoying your Sing Up experience so far. Our programme is England-based, but we do work with international organisations on projects like International Voices and the WOMAD Foundation - both are well-worth checking out!

This is a wonderful program! I was so excited to discover it during my research. I need to explore your entire website, but has this particular program design been introduced internationally? If so, where?

Hi Mrs Smith,
It's a great idea for us to keep in mind! In the mean-time, our Facebook Fan Page is a good jumping-off point for networking and sharing resources and ideas between adult singers.

I don't suppose the possibility of just a small corner on your website devoted to grown-up singers is something you might consider? A lot of what you have here for children would be very useful to grown-up choirs and singers. And, after all, we are all children at heart!
