A: Every song in the Song Bank has a melody line version of the score, which shows the lyrics, melody line and chord symbols of the song.
We’ve provided these instead of lyric sheets, as you can use them in exactly the same way, whilst also following the rise and fall of the melody line against the lyrics as you sing.
A: If you are registered and logged in as a Sing Up member in England, it’s worth checking that your volume and sound settings are set so that you can hear sounds from other websites or CDs. If you still can’t hear the songs, it might be because you need the latest version of Adobe Flash Player, and even a browser upgrade. Adobe Flash Player is free and safe to download, and you can find it here.
If you are not registered to Sing Up, or are a user outside of England, you won’t be able to listen to some of the songs in the Song Bank. The copyright songs on the Sing Up website are not available to be streamed (listened to) by people outside of England, as this violates our licensing agreement. The exclusions to this are BFPO schools, which are technically on English postcodes and so come under our funding capacity.
A: Ensure you are logged in, otherwise you cannot print the Scorch files. You also need to ensure you have the Scorch plug-in installed on your machine. Below is a link to the latest version of Scorch:

from here you will find a detailed explanation for installing Scorch onto your local machine.
Each Song and Warm-Up have the Scorch Plug-in link below it as well.

A: The Sing Up Song Bank will continue to expand as we seek out new songs and commission more original material. Our partnership with Faber Music ensures we are always at the cutting edge of finding and developing great new songs for use in schools and other melodious settings!
A: Each download credit will unlock a wealth of content that we’ve specifically created for that song. You will unlock: all audio tracks (including performance, backing, echo and slowed-down echo track), all sheet music, song sheets and instrumental parts and all other resources, including, where available, our unique Accessible Learning Resources (braille song sheets, BSL and Makaton signed videos, Clicker 5 and Voca files and more). All members will also still have full access to our innovative song-specific activity ideas and lesson plans including curriculum links. Comparing these fantastic resources with what’s available on the market, we know this is incredibly good value.
How to use a download credit
To use your download credits, search for your favourite song on the Song Bank, open the page and click the green ‘download’ icon to the left of the track. If the icon says ‘Free’, you’ll already have the song in your My Sing Up Library.
If you don’t know the song already, it’s always a good idea to stream or preview the song before downloading it to try it out.
Once you click ‘download’, a window will pop-up asking you to open or save a Zip file. Zip files allow you to download lots of files in one go. One credit ‘unlocks’ a whole song, including all backing tracks, echo tracks, performance tracks and tailor-made teaching resources for that song. All of these are included in the Zip file which you’ll need to save to your computer. You can then open it up and see all the content there for you to use on- and off-line as much as you want.
The song will also appear in your Library from now on. If you accidentally select to download the song again, don’t worry – the system will know that you have already downloaded it and won’t use another credit up.

A: “Streaming” is when you play a song live from our website by clicking the ‘play’ icon next to a song. This includes any from the Song Bank, in your favourites list or in any playlists you have created. This is not a ‘download’; the file doesn’t get saved anywhere and you must have internet connection to stream from the website.
If you click the ‘preview’ button and only hear 30 seconds of the song, this is not a stream.
A “stream” is one play of a song.
Your streaming allocation is based on your membership, and these are per year, to share between your Sing Up registered colleagues:
For schools, the allocations are:
You can stream every song from our 500+ strong collection and it's a great way of using other songs from the Song Bank in lessons when you know you may not need the song for further future use. If you think you’ll be using the song a lot, you might consider downloading it.
